Warrior Hike

The twice-yearly Warrior Hike (on Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day Weekends) challenges participants to climb El Cajon Mountain in the El Capitan County Preserve—considered to be one of the toughest hikes in San Diego County.

The event features three levels of difficulty for beginning, skilled, and expert hikers, with the expert level lasting 12 miles!

The San Diego County Parks Society is a sponsor of these events, providing healthy refreshments as well as lanyards and patches for participants.

Hello and welcome to the San Diego County Parks Society!

Established on August 11, 1980, our mission is to support San Diego County Parks and Recreation goals, activities, and programs, and to preserve and enhance cultural, community, and natural resources through charitable contributions.
