In addition to providing beauty and shade in county parks, trees play an important role in our environment, absorbing carbon dioxide from the air.
As part of its Climate Action Plan (CAP), San Diego County plans to plant 110,000 trees by 2050. San Diego County Parks and Recreation is on track to meet this goal, thanks to donors and volunteers like you.
While big tree-planting events often get a lot of attention, an equally important part of the process is the less visible work of caring for the newly planted trees for at least the first three years.
